Red Earth Centre Philosophy

From 2004 – 2019, Louisa Raszyk established and managed Red Earth Centre in Paris : a small, treasured Parisian somatic awareness studio with a unique profile. In July 2019, Louisa closed the centre to better respond to the growing and changing needs of her students and clients, and to more effectively continue her ongoing bodymind therapy and research (yoga, movement, shiatsu).  She now consults and teaches from her cabinet in Paris 10, Verrières Le Buisson, at Centre Ahimsa College Ayurvedic, on retreat, and online.

Dedicated to exploring and deepening the relation between the physical body and the mind, Louisa proposes a  tranquil space to experience deep well-being, revolving around a core of yoga, shiatsu and movement.

Louisa has been influenced by many bodymind techniques in the last 30 years, her most influential and deepest influences have been : dance, somatic yoga, shiatsu, developmental movement Jungian analysis, trauma therapy, and Zen meditation. She offers group classes and individual consultations or trainings in movement or shiatsu, to reawaken our capacity to feel, and to support the deepest possible reconnection with the self.

The image of ‘red earth’ is reminiscent of Australia and the fundamental common connection we all share with our ancient and primal origins. Deep in the earth is a core of fire, a powerful metaphor for spirit (and in-spir-ation) encased in and expressed by the physical body.

TESTIMONIAL

Finding this oasis in the heart of Paris when I first moved here four years ago really was a revelation…” Mandy, Paris

“I am not a yoga adept. I first discovered the Red Earth Centre when I dropped in on an Open Day, and since then it’s been a pleasure to go back. There’s always a warm welcome, and  the classes are quality thanks to the experienced teachers. You come out feeling great, not only in your body, but also in your mind.” Julien, Paris
