WINTER SERIES 13, 20, 27 février 2025

Wishing you all a healthy and happy new year 2025 !

Winter Series :

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), winter is associated with the kidneys and the bladder, and the meridians that run through these organs play a crucial role in the body’s vitality and energy reserves. During winter, the body’s energy is naturally more inward, requiring nourishment and protection. The kidneys are seen as the source of “Jing” (vital essence), which governs growth, reproduction, and energy. The Bladder Meridian, which flows along the back, helps to store and regulate this energy. Cold weather can deplete these meridians, making it essential to maintain their strength and balance. Specific movements, such as gentle stretching, Qi Gong, or Tai Chi, help to activate the kidney and bladder meridians, circulate Qi (energy), and promote warmth in the body. By nourishing these meridians through movement, we support our immune system, improve circulation, and prevent energy stagnation. Focusing on these meridians during winter can also enhance deep rest, reduce fatigue, and help maintain emotional balance. Regular practice of movement specific to these meridians can promote overall health and resilience throughout the colder months.
